The Wedding Secret Ltd is a new UK-based business venture set up to improve wedding suppliers’ exposure to potential customers online. With traditional models of advertising such as Yellow Pages and classified adverts in the local press rapidly losing their reach, the company aims to offer wedding businesses a cost-effective way to communicate online with their target local audience. Using Twitter and Facebook as marketing tools, the company is attracting a fast-growing following amongst prospective brides and grooms.
Meet The Team
Jennie Evans
The Wedding Secret Ltd is the brainchild of Jennie Evans, who has been closely involved with internet marketing for over a decade and regularly visits the USA to attend seminars and conferences in order to keep abreast of new trends. Jennie is no stranger to the wedding business. In 2000, she set up Hop Till You Drop, an online music agency that provides live musical entertainment for weddings and parties in the UK.
John Evans
Jennie’s son John is her partner in The Wedding Secret venture. A graduate of Westminster University, John is The Wedding Secret’s business manager, dealing with the development of the business model and the day-to-day practicalities of company management, financial planning and systems implementation.
Alex Evans
Alex graduated from Bath Spa University with a degree in English and Journalism and is now one of The Wedding Secret in-house writers, creating the content for www.wedding-photography-secret.com and sharing the creation of www.wedding-venue-secret.com and www.wedding-planning-secret.com with Kate. Alex also videos weddings around the Bath and Bristol area in his spare time.
Kate Sanderson
Having graduated from Bournemouth University with a degree in Interactive Media Production, Kate has joined The Wedding Secret Team as an in-house writer and is thoroughly enjoying creating the content for www.wedding-dress-secret.com. She also co-writes www.wedding-venue-secret.com and www.wedding-planning-secret.com with Alex.
Aidan O’Callaghan
Aidan is a History graduate from Manchester University and for the past year has been running Jennie’s music agency Hop Till You Drop. He puts his knowledge of the music business to good use writing amusing, topical and informative articles for www.wedding-music-secret.com.
Simon Bailey
Simon graduated from Plymouth University with a degree in Internet Technologies and Applications and is now The Wedding Secret’s in-house search engine optimisation specialist. He is currently developing link-building strategies to enhance page-rank, and installing tracking systems to monitor conversion and click-through rates for advertisers.
